While pushing up on the mounting ring, install the snap ring into the groove on the sink flange to hold the assembly in place. Use a screwdriver to evenly tighten the three screws on the mounting ring, which will compress the assembly and squeeze out excess putty. Wipe away the excess putty from inside the sink.
