Step 4 · Test Spray Pattern

Point the spray gun at a piece of cardboard or scrap wood in a well-ventilated area. Squeeze the trigger and observe the spray pattern. It should be consistent and fan-shaped, with no sputtering, dripping, or unevenness. Adjust the pressure, tip size, or paint thinning as needed based on the test results.
